Make It a Mile Walking Program

Start 2014 with a commitment to leading an active and healthy lifestyle.  It starts with a single step, and we are here to take it with you!

Make It a Mile is a four-week walking/running program designed to help beginners take the first steps to getting healthy by completing one mile. The program includes a safe, guided training plan designed to allow you to work at your own pace in a non-threatening, non-judgmental environment. At the end of the four weeks, you'll be able to complete one mile with a healthy, happy, and strong feeling. We encourage participants to exercise at their own comfortable pace. Training begins Monday, February 24th. The Info Session will be held on Monday, February 17th at 6:30 p.m.

We make getting active an attainable goal, so get your walking shoes and let's start walking!

Our Make It a Mile Walking Group is for all runners/walkers who would like to get active and make it a mile!  This is a perfect training program to prepare you for our No Boundaries Beginner 5K Training Program.

WHEN: Weekly training walks will be on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. starting February 24, 2014.

WHERE: This training group will meet at Fleet Feet Sports Stamford, 168 Bedford Street, Stamford, CT 06901.


Training participants will receive:

**A four-week training program.

**Coach-led workouts two times a week.

**Access to coaches/mentors via e-mail during the week.

**The camaraderie of others with the same goal!
